| Little Antelope Pack Station is located in the picturesque Eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains. We have been in operation since the 1930’s, using traditional methods to transport people and supplies across the Sierras. We service the Carson-Iceberg Wilderness area of the Humbolt-Toiyabe National Forest.
Joe Cereghino purchased the Pack Station in 2003 and began operating in 2004. Joe’s first visit to this beautiful site was as a wildland firefighter in 1996. As a member of the hotshot crew fighting the Walker Complex fire, he was charged with building an emergency Helipad in the Forest. From the peak on which the Helipad was constructed, he got a glimpse of what was to come.
As an avid outdoorsman, Joe wanted a career that would keep in doing the things he loved. Joe worked as a packer and guide in the Bitterroot region of Montana and Idaho where he learned to pack, and guide. When Joe was ready to start his own business he looked to the Sierra Nevadas, to be near family. Little Antelope Pack Station became available and Joe purchased the Pack Station from the Bergstrom family who had run it for many years.
We are proud to carry on the business and look forward to the opportunity to share our backyard with you!
